Vasquez, Clerk of the Board Emili Wash, Accountant Public: See -Sign In Sheet The Commissioners continued the public hearing from December 4, 2023 to consider the following: • Adopting the 2024 County Budget Emili Wash, Accountant stated the proposed Current Expense budget is $61,726,437.00. The total County proposed budget has been amended due to changes to the Public Works budget and is now $335,899,767.00. • Setting land classification and assessments for funding the 2024 budget of the Grant County Noxious Weed Board: o Irrigated Cropland o Dryland o Range/Scabland o Minimum Parcels o Rights -of -Way 23 cents per acre 09 cents per acre 06 cents per acre $14.00 per parcel $7.95 per Centerline Mile • Ordinance/Resolution setting 2024 levy rate for County Road Fund Public Works: proposed levy assessments for 2024: a 2.4% increase totaling $253,,692.22 from previous year. • Ordinance/Resolution setting 2024 levy rate for Current Expense: 0% increase from 2023. A motion was made by Commissioner Carter, seconded by Commissioner Stone, to close the public comment portion of the hearing. The motion passed unanimously. A motion was made by Commissioner Stone to approve the 2024 budget adoption, Noxious Weed Assessment Rates, and the increase for the County Road Fund, and the current expense to remain the same, as presented. Commissioner Carter seconded and the motion passed unanimously. The hearing adjourned.
