HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes - BOCCCOMMISSIONERS' PROCEEDINGS Week of May 13,1991 The Grant County Commissioners session was called to order at 9:00 a.m. by Chairman Don Goodwin. All of the Commissioners were in attendance with the Clerk of the Board. The Commissioners approved the minutes of the preceding session as written. The Commissioners signed the Notice of Separation or Work Interruption of Cindy Schmidt of the D.D. Residential Department and Mary McGrath Taylor of the Mental Health Department. The Commissioners approved the beginning salary of Marsha Neihart of the Sheriff Department at $1,064.80 per month effective May 15,1991. The Commissioners approved the salary increase of Garth Kofoed of the Juvenile Department to $1,834.00 per month effective May 1,1991. The Commissioners approved the salary increase of Marcella Youngers of the Auditors Office to $1,214.10 per month effective May 1,1991. The Commissioners received a revised budget from the Noxious Weed Control Board of Grant County reflecting the projected increase in assessment income figures and added expenses for the 1991 year. The Commissioners gave their approval for the use of the Courthouse lawn and lower level bathrooms for the Sage and Sun Festival on June 7,8 and 9th. The Commissioners received a Claim for Damages from Jack D. Kendall, et al. The matter was referred to the Prosecutors Office. Chairman Goodwin was authorized to sign the Interagency Agreement between NCW Regional Support Network and Grant County, Amendment 1, which was then sent to the NCW Regional Support Network for their signatures. The Commissioners met with various Elected Officials, Department Heads and others regarding matters of mutual concern. As there was no further business the session was continued until May 14,1991. May 14,1991 The session was continued at 8:00 a.m. with all of the Commissioners in attendance with the Clerk of the Board. The Commissioners met with the Public Works Director regarding CRP Resolution Cost -Share Project, Reimbursable Work-Hartline, SR 17 Access, Subdivisions. A motion was made by Commissioner Fancher and seconded by Commissioner Winzler that Resolution Number 91 -65 -CC regarding the initiating of a county road project designated as CRP No. 91-16, Baird Springs, be passed. The motion carried. The Commissioners approved the salary of Jerry Boggs of the Sheriff Department at $1,000 per month effective May 14,1991. The Commissioners signed the Public Works Claims Fund Voucher Approval #4-1 through 4-193 in the total amount of $879,764.52. Commissioners received information from the Public Works Director regarding the water supply problems at the Ephrata Landfill. As of this date the Board by a majority vote does approve for payment those vouchers included in the list filed in the Auditors Office 5/13/91 in the total amount of $291,882.53. The Commissioners approved the request to the County Road Department for reimbursable work from the Town of Hartline. Chairman Goodwin was authorized to sign a Determination of Non -significance on the Tritech Enterprises, Inc. proposal for the construction and operation of an ethanol plant. The Commissioners received a summons upon complaint for foreclosure of lien against bond and retainage by Central Washington Asphalt,lnc. The matter was referred to the Prosecutors Office. As there was no further business to come before the Board the session was adjourned until May 20,1991.
