HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes - BOCCCOMMISSIONERS' PROCEEDINGS Week of March 18,1991 The Grant County Commissioners session was called to order at 9:00 a.m. by Chairman Don Goodwin. All of the Commissioners were in attendance with the Clerk of the Board. The Commissioners approved the minutes of the preceding session as written. Chairman Goodwin was authorized to sign the approval of the first quarter payment of $31,000 for Grant County's first quarter payment to Grant County Health District. The Commissioners instructed the Accounting Department to pay the amount of $25,000 to the Historical Society for the costs involved in operating the Museum for the 1991 year. The Commissioners signed a Five County Joint Resolution #91-19 in the matter of the appointment of a Trustee of the North Central Regional Library. The Commissioners requested the Accounting Department to transfer budgeted funds into the Soldiers and Sailors Relief Fund. The Commissioners approved the salary increase to Joy Ricks of the Grant County Fair in the amount of $200.00 per month retroactive to January 1,1991 due to her change in responsibilities. The Commissioners approved the salary increase of Rey Rodriguez of the Grant County Fair to $1200 per month, effective April 1,1991. The Commissioners approved the employment agreement between the Grant County Fair Manager, Linda Edwards and the Grant County Fair Board of Directors. The Commissioners approved the salary increases of the Grant County Alcohol and Drug Center effective July 1,1991. The Commissioners approved the salary increase of Linda Chapel of the Grant County Alcohol and Drug Center to $1339 per month effective March 1,1991. The Commissioners notified the U.S. Department of HUD that they did not intend to submit any objections to Project Number WA 19V060008. The Commissioners signed the Substantial Development Permit for Sunbanks, Ltd. regarding the development of an R.V. park and resort development. As there was no further business the session was continued until March 19,1991. March 19,1991 The Session was continued at 9:00 a.m. with all of the Commissioners in attendance with the Clerk of the Board. The Commissioners met with the Public Works Director regarding Potato Hill Road -Result of Spot Speed Survey, Education -Contract with BBCC, Spring Clean-up, 10:30 -Don Senn & Ron Selstead of WSDOT on Planned Improvements. As of this date the Board by a majority vote does approve for payment those vouchers included in the list filed in the Auditors Office 3/16/91 in the total amount of $138,458.80. The Commissioners approved the Request for Transfer in the Prosecuting Attorneys Office in the amount of $394.00. The Commissioners approved the Request for Transfer in the Prosecuting Attorneys Office in the amount of $985.00. The Commissioners approved the starting salary of Scott Stevens of the Juvenile Department at 90% of the Probation Counselor position effective March 13,1991. The Commissioners received a letter from Jerry Smedes of the Environmental Security Corp. regarding the Rabanco site. Chairman Goodwin was authorized to sign the Memorandum of Understanding between Grant County and Environmental Security Corporation on Environmental Monitoring, The Commissioners signed the Addendum to the Lease and Settlement Agreement with Environmental Security Corporation. The Commissioners met with various Elected Officials, Department Heads and others regarding matters of mutual concern.
