RESOLUTION OF SUPPORT FOR
BIG BEND ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT
COUNCIL
RESOLUTION NO. 91 -18 -CC
WHEREAS, in 1980 the Grant County Commissioners participated in the creation
of the Big Bend EDC to provide local cooperation and regional economic development
coordination in the Grant , Adams and Lincoln County region of Eastern Washington;
and
WHEREAS, the Big Bend EDC has been satisfying the U.S. Department of
Commerce's Economic Development Administration requirements for Economic
Development District programs; and
WHEREAS, Grant County is an active dues paying member of the Big Bend EDC
and has a representative on the Board of Directors:
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Grant County Commissioners
support the Big Bend EDC District Program; and
FURTHER RESOLVED THAT the Grant County Commissioners request EDA's
official District Designation for the Big Bend Region and the Big Bend EDC District
Program.
PASSED AND APPROVED on this 11th day of February 1991.
