MABEL THOMPSON FOR
HER MANY YEARS OF RESOLUTION NUMBER 91 -17 -CC
DEDICATED SERVICE
TO THE CITIZENS OF
GRANT COUNTY
WHEREAS, we in Grant County have been fortunate enough to have Mabel
Thompson live in this area for many years, and
WHEREAS,not only has that allowed many to associate with her on a personal
level,but many have also had the opportunity to benefit from her dedication to various
programs within the County, and
WHEREAS, Mabel served as an outstanding teacher for many years of her life
which has had an untold impact on many in our County, and
WHEREAS, she has been the inspiration behind one of the most successful Senior
Centers in the State, which she has worked to make self supporting, and
WHEREAS, Mabel was always careful to watch that those in need of assistance
received that assistance without having to ask for it, and
WHEREAS, she has been an exceptional example to all the citizens of the County,
and
WHEREAS, Mabel has taught us that age should not be something to keep us
from contributing to society, but on the other hand perhaps gives us greater things to
contribute,
NOW THEREFORE BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED, that the Grant County Board of
Commissioners extend the sincere and heartfelt thanks of all the people of our County
to MABEL THOMPSON, and place her name on the list of distinguished people who
have contributed much to make our County special.
