HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes - BOCCCOMMISSIONERS' PROCEEDINGS Week of February 4,1991 The Grant County Commissioners session was called to order at 9:00 a.m. by Chairman Don Goodwin. All of the Commissioners were in attendance with the Clerk of the Board. The Commissioners approved the minutes of the preceding session as written. The Commissioners approved the request by the Prosecuting Attorney to purchase a Citizen printer for the amount of $394.00. The Commissioners reappointed Jerry Dormaier to a further term on the Grant County Planning Commission. The Commissioners received the resignation of Clifford O. Wolfe as a member of the Grant county Fair Board. The Commissioners reappointed Don Bodenman to a further term on the Grant County Planning Commission. The Commissioners received the resignation of Harold Beeman as a member of the Grant County Fair Board. The Commissioners approved the salary of Harry C. Hanson of the Prosecuting Attorney's office at 80% of the salary for the Crime Victim Coordinator for 3 months, then raised to 90% for 6 months. The Commissioners approved the salary increase of Elizabeth Palachuk of the Auditors Office to $1,349 effective February 1,1991. The Commissioners approved the salary of Marcella Youngers of the Auditors Office at 80% of control point effective February 1,1991 and increased to 90% after 3 months. Chairman Goodwin was authorized to sign the Notice of Separation or Work Interruption of Jessie Overman of the Prosecutors Office. The Commissioners received a signed copy of Contract 2490-75068(2) with the Department of Social and Health Services. The Commissioners sent a letter of support to the Washington state Conservation Commission regarding a grant application of the Upper Grant Conservation District. The Commissioners received a summons and complaint from Criss W. Wahl. The matter was referred to the Prosecuting Attorney for handling. The Commissioners signed the 1991 agreement for Dispatch Services with Hospital District A. The Commissioners received a signed copy of Contract 2460-38507(7) with the Department of Social and Health Services. The Commissioners met with various individuals regarding matters of mutual concern. As there was no further business the session was continued until February 5,1991. February 5,1991 The session was continued at 8:00 a.m. with all of the Commissioners in attendance with the Clerk of the Board. The Commissioners met with the Public Works Department regarding Bid Award Recommendations -Graders, cars, pickups, & compactor, Contract Execution-Wendle Ford(dump trucks), Ingress/Egress Permit -Philip Isack, Patton Blvd. -Alley Cost, Bishop Request. The Commissioners approved the recommendations of the Public Works Department on bids for graders, cars, pickups, and compactor. A motion was made by Commissioner Fancher and seconded by Commissioner Winzler that Resolution Number 91 -14 -CC permitting ingress and egress on County Road right-of-way to Philip Isack be passed. The motion carried. The Commissioners signed a Contract with Wendle Ford Sales,lnc. for 2 LT9000 Ford Trucks. The Commissioners approved the Public Works Recommendations on a Used Truck Chassis bid by Wendle Ford in the amount of $22,659. As of this date the Board by a majority vote does approve for payment those vouchers included in the list filed in the Auditors Office 2/4/91 in the total amount of $69,495.95 with the exception of Voucher #F36845 for a filing cabinet in the amount of $859.73 and a date stamp in the amount of $486.49. The Commissioners signed the Public Works Claims Fund Voucher #1-1 through 1-2 in the total amount of $13,588.77. As of this date the Board by a majority vote does approve for payment those vouchers included in the list filed in the Auditors Office 1/31/91 in the total amount of $103,513.30. A motion was made by Commissioner Fancher and seconded by Commissioner Winzler that Resolution Number 91 -15 -CC no longer designating Bill Wilson as a Mental Health Profession for Grant County be passed. The motion carried. A motion was made by Commissioner Winzler and seconded by Commissioner Fancher that Resolution Number 91 -16 -CC setting a public hearing on a proposed appropriation and expenditure of funds for the Current expense Fund #001, Various Departments in the amount of $58,975 be passed. The motion carried. Public Hearing will be held March 5,1991 at 1:30 p.m. A motion was made by Commissioner Winzler and seconded by Commissioner Fancher that Resolution Number 91 -17 -CC honoring Mabel Thompson be passed. The motion carried. The Commissioners approved the request by the Fair Board for the amount of $2,000 to pay for a water truck. The Commissioners approved the request by the Prosecuting Attorneys Office regarding criminal justice funds. The Commissioners approved the request by the Prosecuting Attorney to pay Jessie Overman the amount of $10.00 per hour for her to work one week training the new victim -witness coordinator.
