HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes - BOCCCOMMISSIONERS' PROCEEDINGS Week of January 28,1991 The Grant County Commissioners session was called to order at 9:00 a.m. by Chairman Don Goodwin. Commissioner Fancher and Commissioner Winzler were in attendance with the Clerk of the Board. The Commissioners approved the minutes of the preceding session as written. The Commissioners signed agreements for law enforcement services between the Town of Marlin and the town of Wilson Creek and the Grant County Sheriff's Department. The Commissioners approved the purchase of one hot water heater, two clothes dryers and one clothes washer for the Juvenile Department at an approximate cost of $1,650. The Commissioners approved the dates of Tuesday, August 13 through Saturday, August 17,1991 for the Grant County Fair. The Commissioners accepted the resignation of Bill Bailey from the Grant County Tourism Commission. The Commissioners approved the position of Chief Deputy for the Coroner's Office, with Jerry Jasman filling the position effective January 1,1991. The Commissioners approved the salary of Matt Horn of the Building and Grounds Department at 80% of the Maintenance I position effective February 1,1991. The Commissioners approved the salary of Gerald Holman as a provisional Deputy Sheriff at 80% of control point effective February 1,1991. The Commissioners appointed Martha Cox to a position on the Grant County Alcohol and Drug Addiction Board. The Commissioners received a signed copy of an Interagency Agreement between North Central Washington Regional Support Network and Grant County. The Commissioners received a copy of the 1990 census from the U.S. Department of Commerce. The Commissioners met with various Elected Officials and Department Heads regarding matters of mutual concern. As there was no further business the session was continued until January 29,1991. January 29,1991 The session was continued at 9:00 a.m. with all of the Commissioners in attendance with the Clerk of the Board. The Commissioners met with the Public Works Department regarding Supplemental Agreement -Bridge No. 316, 'F' NW, Bid Award Recommendations Wheel Loader and 10/12 Cu. Yd. Dump Trucks, Bishop Request-Open-RANGE^`Patton' Blvd., Bid Openings on Autos, Pickups, and Landfill Compactor, Letter to Mr. Sherbenou, and Mrs. Newby. The Commissioners approved the Public Works recommendations to purchase 2 dump trucks from Wendle Ford for a total of $146,364.20. They also approved the purchase of a wheel loader for $64,930 from Case Power and Equipment. The Commissioners held bid openings on Automobiles, pickups and a Landfill Compactor. A motion was made by Commissioner Fancher and seconded by Commissioner Winzier that the bids be referred to the Public Works Department for their recommendations. The motion carried. The Commissioners sent a letter to Michael Gendler regarding a request for Public Records. The Commissioners approved the salary of Bryan Jones at $1435.50 per month as a Dispatcher effective January 20,1991. Chairman Goodwin was authorized to sign the Notice of Separation or Work Interruption of Donna L. Skeesick and David Ritacco of the Mental Health Department. The Commissioners approved the salary of Kathryn Gail Smith as a Certified Appraiser I at $1520.00 per month effective January 1,1991. The Commissioners approved the salary of Robert V. Criss as a Certified Appraiser at $1216.00 per month effective January 14,1991. The Commissioners approved the salary of Carol Dawson as a Certified Appraiser at $1216.00 per month effective January 1,1991. The Commissioners approved the salary of Lynn Belnap as a Certified Appraiser at $1216.00 per month effective January 1,1991. The Commissioners approved the salary of Jeffrey Block as a Certified Appraiser III at $1475.10 per month effective January 1,1991. The Commissioners approved the purchase of a water treatment system for the Juvenile Center in the amount of $1139.50. The Commissioners approved the appointment of Gary Sieg to serve the balance of the term of Bernard Kendall which expires in March of 1994 on the Noxious Weed Control Board of Grant County. The Commissioners signed a Request for Transfer in the Law and Justice Department #163, Law and Justice Fund #121 in the amount of $75,083. � As of this date the Board by a majority vote does approve for payment hose vouchers included 4 he list filed in the Auditors Office 1/28/91 in the total amount of $96,594.96. The Commissioners signed the Public Works Payroll Journal for January in the total amount of $177,636.96. A Public Hearing was held and a motion was made by Commissioner Fancher and seconded by Commissioner Winzler that Resolution Number 91 -12 -CC authorizing an appropriation and expenditure of funds in the Alcohol/Drug Abuse Fund #115, Department #157 in the total amount of $7,400 be passed. The motion carried. A motion was made by Commissioner Winzler and seconded by Commissioner Fancher that Resolution Number 91 -13 -CC designating Sergio J. Mascarenas as a Mental Health Professional for Grant County be passed. the motion carried. The Commissioners met with various Elected Officials and Department Heads regarding matters of mutual concern.
