RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING
APPLICATION TO IAC
RESOLUTION NUMBER 90 -133 -CC
A resolution authorizing the submittal of an application to the Interagency
Committee for Outdoor Recreation for funding assistance for an Outdoor
Recreation Project from funds available through the Nonhighway and Off -Road
Vehicle (NOVA) program as provided by RCW 46.09.
Whereas, under the provisions of the Off -Road and Nonhighway Vehicle Act,state
funding assistance has been authorized and made available to aid in financing
of Education and Enforcement programs, ORV Coordination positions, and Maintance
and Operation of ORV facilities for ORV and Nonhighway Road purposes;
Whereas, the County Commissioners of Grant County consider it in the best public
interest to provide ORV education, enforcement, coordination, and maintance and
operation of ORV facilities within Grant County;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the County Commissioners of Grant County,
Washington,
1 That the Sheriff be authorized to make formal application to the
Interagency Committee for Outdoor Recreation for funding assistance,
2 That any fund assistance so recieved be used in the provision of
ORV programs in Grant County, Washington,
3 That any property acquired with financial aid through the Interagency
Committee for Outdoor Recreation be placed in use for ORV and/or non -
highway road outdoor recreation programs, and management and disposal
of such property will follow guidlines set fourth in the NOVA Program
Education and Enforcement manual 1990, and
4 That this resolution become part of a formal application to the Interagency
Committee for Outdoor Recreation.
