HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes - BOCCCOMMISSIONERS' PROCEEDINGS WEEK OF NOVEMBER 5,1990 The Grant County Commissioners session was called to order at 9:00 a.m. by Chairman Glenn Chamberlain. All of the Commissioners were in attendance with the Clerk of the Board. The Commissioners approved the minutes of the preceding session. The Commissioners approved the salary of Debra Deleon of the Assessors Office at $1153.60 per month effective November 1,1990. The Commissioners approved the salary increase of Bonnie Rosco of the Assessors Office to $1207.20 per month effective November 1,1990. The Commissioners gave their approval to the replacement of the Data Entry Real Property II position in the Assessors Office to the position of Certified Appraiser Data Entry effective January of 1991 at a salary of $1520 per month if the person to fill the position passes the test required. Chairman Chamberlain was authorized to sign the Notice of Separation or Work Interruption of Marge Schempp of the Assessors Office effective October 31,1990. The Commissioners denied a request by the Sheriff Department for the purchase of a lap top computer for the present time. The Commissioners received an affidavit of mailing and notice and motion for determination of reasonableness RE: settlement from Criss W. Wahl. The matter was referred to the Prosecuting Attorney for handling. The Commissioners denied a request by the District Court for the purchase of a tape reformatter. The Commissioners appointed Robert Mosher to a position on the Grant County Addiction Board. The Commissioners requested Chief Accountant, Bob Mosher to abolish the Petty Cash fund at the Museum and to write off the loss of said funds to "Cash Short". The Commissioners signed a Notice of Public Hearing on a request for a supplemental budget for Misc. General Government, Department k#125 from unanticipated state funds in the amount of $5,500. The Commissioners notified all departments that they were establishing a central clearing processing when purchasing computer equipment. This will be handled by Bob Mosher and Chuck Thonney. Chairman Chamberlain was authorized to sign the Determination of Non -Significance on the proposal to manufacture Tetramethy1ammonium hydroxide at the existing facility of Moses Lake Industries. The Commissioners met with various Elected Officials and Department Heads regarding matters of mutual concern. As there was no further business the session was continued until November 6,1990. November 6,1990 The session was continued at 9:00 a.m. with Chairman Chamberlain and Commissioner Goodwin in attendance with the Clerk of the Board. The Commissioners met with the Public Works Department regarding Bid Authorization -Bridge No. 240, 16' SE and Countywide Crushing, 113' SW -1991 Annual Program, 1991/93 RAP Priorities. The Commissioners signed the Pubic Works Payroll Journal in the amount of $380.20. The Commissioners signed the Authorization to Call for Bids on CRP 90-13; Bridge #240, 6 -SE; SA 1604 for November 27,1990 at 10:00 a.m. and for Crushing and Stockpiling Project on November 27,1990 at 10:30 a.m. The Commissioners notified the Auditors Office that two hourly employees had been hired to cover the Mail Room and Switchboard, they are Barbara Dotson and Kim Bohnet. The salaries will be $7.00 per hour. Chairman Chamberlain was authorized to sign the amendment to Community Mobilization Against Substance Abuse Contract #1-91- 26211A with DSHS and Grant County Alcoholism. The Contract was then sent to DSHS for their signatures. As of this date the Board by a majority vote does approve for payment those vouchers filed in the Auditors Office 11/5/90 in the total amount of $158,521.98. The Commissioners signed the warrants list #41324 through #41693 for the October payroll. As there was no further business the session was adjourned until November 13,1990.
