Week of October 1,1990
The Grant County Commissioners session was called to order at
9:00 a.m. Commissioner Goodwin and Commissioner Chandler were in
attendance with the Clerk of the Board. Commissioner Chamberlain
was out of town.
The Commissioners approved the minutes of the preceding
session.
The Commissioners approved the salary of Rey Rodrigues of the
Grant County Fair Department at 90% of $1200 per month effective
October 1,1990.
The Commissioners approved out of State travel for Ladd
Mitchell of the County Extension Department on Tuesday October 2
thru Sunday October 7.
The Commissioners approved the salary increase of Keith
Carlile of the Sheriff Department to Step Level III effective
September 1,1990.
The Commissioners appointed the following people to serve on
the North Central Washihkton Regional Support Network Advisory
Board, Loraine Snell for a 3 year term, Jenette Alberts for a 2
year term and Santos Villegas for a 1 year term.
The Commissioners set a Public Hearing regarding the
assessments for Grant County Noxious Weed Control Board for the
1991 year. The Public Hearing will be held October 16,1990 at 2:00
p.m.
The Commissioners received a Shorelines Permit application for
Leisure Time Resorts of America from the Planning Department.
The Commissioners sent a letter to Washington State Department
of Ecology regarding the neutral convener for the State CPN process
on the Rabanco site.
The Commissioners approved the salary increase of Teresa
Bushey of the District Court Department retroactive to June 1,1990.
The Commissioners met with various Elected Officials and
Department Heads regarding matters of mutual concern.
The Commissioners met with the Mayors of cities within Grant
County and also with their representatives regarding growth
planning.
The Commissioners met with the Public Works Department
regarding Road Vacation Petition -"10' SW West of `G' SW, Sheriff's
Patrol Vehicle, Lakeview Road Request.
A motion was made by Commissioner Goodwin and seconded by
Commissioner Chandler that Resolution Number 90 -95 -CC setting a
Public Hearing regarding vacation of a portion of 10' SW Road.
Public Hearing will be held October 16,1990 at 11:00 a.m.
As there was no further business the session was adjourned
until October 2,1990.
October 2,1990
The session was continued at 9:00 a.m. with all of the
Commissioners in attendance with the Clerk of the Board.
A motion was made by Commissioner Goodwin and seconded by
Commissioner Chandler that Resolution Number 90 -96 -CC increasing
the amount of the Grant County Alcoholism Program Petty Cash fund
to $165 for the same purposed described in Resolution Number 78 -77 -
CC and for making nominal client fees refunds be passed. The
motion carried.
A motion was made by Commissioner Chandler and seconded by
Commissioner Goodwin that Resolution Number 90 -97 -CC setting a
Public Hearing regarding a proposed emergency appropriation and
expenditure of funds in the Tourism Fund, in the amount of $15,000
be passed. The motion carried. Public Hearing will be held
October 16,1990 at 1:30 p.m.
A motion was made by Commissioner Goodwin and seconded by
Commissioner Chandler that a Public Hearing be set for October
16,1990 at 1:30 p.m. regarding a supplemental budget for the
Sheriff Department #114, Current Expense Fund #001 in the amount of
$147,844 from unanticipated federal funds. The motion carried.
A Public Hearing was held regarding the proposed adoption of
amendments of the 1988 editions of the Uniform Building, Fire,
Mechanical, Plumbing and Abatement of Dangerous Buildings Code.
After some discussion a motion was made by Commissioner Goodwin to
accept the proposed amendments with the striking of the fee
mentioned in 24.2.045. Motion seconded by Commissioner Chandler.
The motion carried.
A Public Hearing was held regarding the proposed appropriation
and expenditure of funds for the 402.176 DD Residential Programs
Fund. A motion was made by Commissioner Chandler and seconded by
Commissioner Goodwin that Resolution Number 90 -98 -CC authorizing
the appropriation in the amount of $37,525 be passed. The motion
carried.
The Commissioners signed the Public Works Claims Fund Vouchers
Approval No. 9-1 through 9-2 in the total amount of $13,145.33.
The Commissioners signed the Warrants List #40902 thru 41281
for the September payroll.
As of this date the Board by a majority vote does approve for
payment those vouchers included in the list filed in the Auditors
Office 10/1/90 in the total amount of $252,759.08.
As there was no further business the session was adjourned until
October 8,1990.
