GRANT COUNTY, WASHINGTON
RESOLUTION NO. 90 -8 -CC
RESOLUTION SUPPORTING MENTAL
HEALTH PROVISO TO THE SUPPLEMENTAL
BUDGET FUNDING NORTH CENTRAL
AND NORTH SOUND REGIONAL SUPPORT
NETWORKS
WHEREAS, the Mental Health treatment needs of the citizens
of Grant County are not currently being met,
WHEREAS, Senate Bill 5400 which was passed in the 1989
Legislative Session attempts to address these needs,
WHEREAS, Senate Bill 5400 only funded 2/3 of the counties
for start-up funding for a Mental Health Support Network,
WHEREAS, the funds available under Senate Bill 5400
ran out prior to the funding of the North Central Washington
Regional Support Network (Okanogan, Chelan -Douglas, Grant
and Adams Counties),
WHEREAS, Senate Bill 6407 will, if passed, direct $1.3
million dollars to the funding of the North Central Washington
Regional Support Network,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Board of Grant County
Commissioners strongly support the Washington State Regional
Support Network concept and the passing of Senate Bill 6407
which would fund the North Central Washington Regional Support
Network,
