HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes - BOCCCOMMISSIONERS' PROCEEDINGS Week of February 26,1990 The Grant County Commissioners session was called to order at 9:00 a.m. by Chairman Glenn Chamberlain. All of the Commissioners were in attend- ance with the Clerk of the Board. The Commissioners approved the minutes of the preceeding session. The Commisisoners approved the appointment of Randy Visker and Bernard Kendall to serve four year terms on the Noxious Weed Control Board of Grant County. The Commissioners requested the Auditors Office to transfer the amount of $385.83 from the Admissions Tax Fund to the Tourism Fund. The Commissioners approved the request by the Sheriff Department for replacement of the jail monitoring system. Chairman Chamberlain was authorized to sign the Notice of Separation or Work Interruption of Angela Pixton of the Health Department effective February 28,1990, and of Gregory Wright of the DD Residential Program effective December 29,1989. A motion was made by Commissioner Chandler and seconded by Commis- sioner Goodwin that Resolution Number 90 -14 -CC honoring Heidi Bishop as 1990 Washington State Young Woman of the year be passed. The motion carried. The Commissioners signed an authorization to call for bids for 1990 Fuel Purchases. Bid opening to be March 13,1990 at 10:30 a.m. The Commissioners signed a Contract with Empire Machinery of Spokane for the purchase of one Deutz Allis 6260 w/mower. The Commissioners approved the Public Works recommendations regarding the purchase of three rock rakes from Adams Tractor for the total price of $11,343.26. The Commissioners signed the Public Works Payroll Journal for the month of February in the total amount of $158,030.76. The Commissioners signed the Warrants List for the month of February. As of this date the Board by a majority vote does approve for payment those vouchers included int he list filed in the Auditors Office 3/1/90 in the total amount of $42,868.56. As of this date the Board by a majority vote does approve for payment those vouchers filed in the Auditors Office 2/27/90 in the total amount of $101,689.20. The Commissioners signed the Public Works Voucher approval #2-1 through 2-3 in the total amount of $73,452.82. The Commissioners signed 1990 Dispatch Services Agreements with the Town of Royal City and the Town of Coulee City. A Public Hearing was held and a motion was made by Commissioner Goodwin and seconded by Commissioner Chamberlain that Resolution Number 90 -15 -CC regarding the adoption of the Northwest Energy Code and Standard, 1987 Edition be passed. The motion carried. The Commissioners met with various Elected Officials and Department Heads regarding matters of mutual concern. As there was no further business the session was adjourned until March 12,1990 as there would not be a quorum during the week of March 5.
