HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes - BOCCCOMMISSIONERS' PROCEEDINGS Week of March 26,1990 The Grant County Commissioners session was called to order at 9:00 a.m. by Chairman Glenn Chamberlain. All of the Commissioners were in attendance with the Clerk of the Board. The Commissioners approved the minutes of the preceeding session. The Commissioners approved the salary increase of Sally Cassella of the Grant County Alcohol and Drug Center effective March 1,1990 to $1300 per month. Effective April 1,1990 she will be raised to the salary of $1500 per month as she will be promoted to the position of Qualified Chemical Dependency Counselor. The Commissioners were notified that Colleen Y. Moeller was hired on March 6,1990 as a Dispatcher at the salary of $1276 per month. The Commissioners approved the salary of Marilyn Foltz of the Prosecutors Office at $7.19 per hour effective March 1,1990. The Commissioners approved the salary of Donna Skeesick of the Grant County Mental Health Office at $18,725 per year effective April 1,1990. They also approved the salary of Patty Johnson of the same office at $18,725 per year effective April 1,1990. The Commissioners were notified by the Sheriff Office of the resignation of Clark McAlavy effective March 31,1990. Chairman Chamberlain was authorized to sign the Notice of Separation or Work Interruption of the following: Beverly J. Minnis of DD Residential effective 2/6/90 Jannell M. Skyberg of Mental Health effective 3/20/90 Colleen Y. Moeller of Dispatch effective 3/13/90 The Commissioners received a Claim for Damages from Keith T. Carlile. The matter was referred to the Prosecuting Attorney for handling. The Commissioners received notice from the Cemetery District X63 Commissioners that they were opposed to being included in the proposed Coulee Community Hospital District. The Commissioners received a copy of the official notice that the County Commissioners from Adams, Grant, Kittitas and Yakima Counties had chosen Keith Ellis to fill the unexpired term of Representative Glyn Chandler of the 13th Legislative District. Chairman Chamberlain was authorized to sign the Interlocal Cooperation Agreement with Public Utility District No. 2 regarding the Northwest Energy Code Program. The document was then returned to the PUD for their signatures. A Public Meeting was held regarding a proposed zone change and preliminary plat by Robert C. Bernett. A motion was made by Commissioner Goodwin and seconded by Commissioner Chandler that Resolution Number 90 -22 -CC allowing the zone change from Agriculture to S-2 Suburban and also approving the preliminary plat for the subdivision be passed. The motion carried. A Public Meeting was held regarding a proposed zone change and preliminary plat by Ron Baker. A motion was made by Commissioner Goodwin and seconded by Commissioner Chandler to continue the meeting until April 2,1990 at 2:00 p.m. The motion carried. The Commissioners met with the Public Works Department regarding Bid Award Recommendation -Fuel Purchases, Spring Clean -up -April 21 & 22, McConihe Road, Road Discussion and Commercial Driver's Licenses(CDL). The Commissioners signed the Public Works Voucher Approval #3-1 thru 3-2 in the total amount of $12,421.68. The Commissioners approved the Public Works recommendation regarding the purchase of fuU for 1990, Inland Oil of Ephrata will be awarded items 2a,2b,3a,3b,4b,4c,6a,7a,8a,9a. North Central of Omak/Quincy will be awarded items la,lb,4a,5a,5b,6b,7b,8b,9b. As of this date the Board by a majority vote does approve for payment those vouchers included in the list filed in the Auditors Office 3/26/90 in the total amount of $135,613.59. The Commissioners signed the Public Works Payroll Journal in the total amount of $162,374.76. The Commissioners met with various Department Heads and Elected Officials regarding matters of mutual concern.
