Week of June 4,1990
The Grant County Commissioners session was called to order at 9:00 a.m.
by Chairman Glenn Chamberlain. All of the Commissioners were in attendance
with the Clerk of the Board.
The Commissioners approved the minutes of the preceeding session.
The Commissioners appointed Duane Ehr to a position of the Grant
County Board of Adjustment to complete the term of Jay Johnson.
The Commissioners were notified by Sheriff Bill Wiester that he was
considering the feasibility of establishing a "utility officer" position
in the Sheriffs Department.
Chairman Chamberlain was authorized to sign the Liquor License
Application of McCormick & Schmick Concession Services,Inc. for the
Champs de Brion Amphitheatre.
The Commissioners were notified by Environmental Security Corporation
that they had completed a business review of the landfill portion of the
Grant County Waste Management Facility and determined that economic factors
do not support development of the landfill facility at this time.
Chairman Chamberlain was authorized to sign the application for re-
sale of tax title property requested by Glenn H. Snow on Lot 5 Block 17
Beverly, a portion of 07-1308.
A motion was made by Commissioner Goodwin and seconded by Commissioner
Chamberlain that Resolution Number 90 -43 -CC increasing the mileage rate
for private cars used on County business to twenty-five cents(25G) per
mile be passed. The motion carried.
The Commissioners wrote a letter to Department of Ecology in response
to DOE letter regarding the I-90 landfill.
The Commissioners approved the salary increase of Raymond E. Audet
of the Building Department to 100% of base salary effective June 1,1990.
The Commissioners received a list from the Sheriff Department of
items to be purchased with approved $3500 from drug seizure monies.
The Commisisoners approved the Public Works Claims Fund #5-1 through
5-2 in the total amount of $23,935.90.
A motion was made by Commissioner Chandler and seconded by Commissioner
Goodwin that Resolution Number 90 -44 -CC, Ordinance No. 11.04, Supplement 2
amending Section 11.04.020, 11.04.025, 11.04.030, 11.04.035, 11.04.040
of the Grant County Code be passed. The motion carried.
As of this date the Board by a majority vote does approve for payment
those vouchers included in the list filed in the Auditors Office 6/4/90
in the total amount of $161,929.95.
As there was no further business the session was adjourned until
June 11,1990 as the Commissioners will be out of town the remainder of
the week attending WSAC Meetings in Tacoma.
