GRANT COUNTY, WASHINGTON
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING
GRANT COUNTY SHERIFF TO
APPLY TO IAC FOR FUNDS
RESOLUTION NUMBER 90-50—CC
A resolution authorizing the submittal of an application to the Interagency
Committee for Outdoor Recreation for funding assistance for an Outdoor Recreation
Project from funds available through the non -highway and off road vehicle (NOVA)
program as provided by RCW 46.09.
Whereas, under the provisions of the Off -Road and Non -Highway Vehicle Act,
state funding assistance has been authorized and made available to aid in financing
the cost of development for ORV and Non -Highway road purposes. And that this funding
assistance is available to local public bodies; and
Whereas, the County Commissioners of the County of Grant consider it in the
best public interest to develop the Grand Coulee ORV area which is located within
Grant County, generally on the south side of Osborne Bay adjoining the Electric
City airport.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the County Commissioners of Grant County,
Washington,
1 That the Sheriff be authorized to make formal application to the Inter-
agency Committee for Outdoor Recreation for funding assistance.
2 That any fund assistance so received be used in the development of the
Grand Coulee ORV area in Grant County, Washington.
3 That any property developed with financial aid through the Interagency
Committee for Outdoor be placed in use as an ORV and/or Non -Highway Road
outdoor recreation facility and be retained in such use in perpetuity,! unless
as otherwise provided and agreed to by the County Commissioners and the
IAC, and
4 That this resolution become a part of the formal application to the Inter-
agency Committee for Outdoor Recreation.
