HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes - BOCCCOMMISSIONERS' PROCEEDINGS Week of April 17,1989 The Grant County Commissioners session was called to order at 9:00 a.m. by Chairman Glenn. Chamberlain. All of the Commissioners were in attendance with the Clerk of. the Board. The Commissioners approved the minutes of the preceeding session. The Commissioners signed an agreement with the United States Department of the Interior, Bureau of Land Management regarding law enforcement. The Commissioners received change of location information from the WSLCB on Pamela R. Korach, Sunshine Florist. Chairman Chamberlain was authorized to sign Special Occasion Liquor License for the Ridge Riders Riding Club. The Commissioners met with Daryl Jackson regarding weed problems in the area. The Commissioners met with representatives of the Kemallord Company regarding their plans for building a plant in the area. As there was no further business the session was continued until April 18. April 18,1989 The session was continued at 9:00 a.m. with all of the Commissioners in attendance with the Clerk of the Board. The Commissioners met with the Public Works Department regarding Borrow Source Agreement -Raymond Mayer, Memo's -Surplus Sheriff Vehicles, Road Patrol Deputy, Prosecuting Attorney Vehicle, 10:00 a.m.-Bid Opening(Auctioneering Services), Flood -Grant Status. The Commissioners approved the replacement of the Prosecuting Attorney's vehicle with a vehicle from the motor pool. Bids were opened regarding Auctioneering Services and a motion was made by Commissioner Chandler and seconded by Commissioner Goodwin that the bids be referred to the Public Works Department for their recommendations. The Commissioners signed a Borrow Source Agreement with Raymond Mayer regarding screening and placing approximately 100 cubic yards of gravel for county road purposes from the following location: E} of the NWj of Section 6, Township 22North, Range 24 E.W.M. The Commissioners sent letters to Slade Gorton, Brock Adams and Sid Morrison regarding Section 89 of the 1986 tax reform act. The Commissioners appointed Commissioner Don Goodwin to serve on the Council of Governments regarding the Area Agency on Aging. Commissioner. Chandler drafted a letter regarding a FAM tour scheduled for May 17 and 18 by the Grant County Tourism Board. The Commissioners met with various Department Heads and Elected Officials regarding matters of mutual concern. As there was no further business the session was adjourned until April 24,1989.
