The Gorge Amphitheater is a major draw for lodging tax creation in our community and supporting the Amphitheater with LTAC funded roadway capacity improvements is a good use of these funds. Grant County Public Works is requesting LTAC funding in the amount of $600,,000, which along with a matching 15% provided by the Road Fund, will Overlay and Widen Baseline Road NW for approximately one mile and provide additional queuing capacity for amphitheater events. Several events are multiple nights. Most lodging and campsites are full over these event weekends. Local lodging providers count on the Amphitheater event visitors coming to our area. We should support the long-term success and growth of the Gorge Amphitheater. The majority of the Gorge Amphitheater visitors come from out of our area. This bring much needed out of area money to our community. There are even many visitors coming from other States, Canada, or father. Preserving and increasing capacity of the adjacent County Road network accessing the Amphitheater iimportant mportant for its continued success and long-term growth. LONGEVITY:* The Gorge Amphitheater started in 1988 and the first concert was held in 1989. The Gorge Amphitheater continues to grow, year after year, it brings much needed money from outside our area, to be spent in our area. With over 30+ years of sustained growth it has proven longevity in our community. How many years has this event been going and how will the grant help its future success? 3. MARKETING CAMPAIGN:* N/A - This is a Public Works project to improve the County Road infrastructure around the Gorge Amphitheater. The project would have public notice and public construction. Describe your marketing campaign., when and where your marketing occurs., and what is the duration. 4.
