Regarding: Climate Planning Grant Application Letter of Commitment
Please accept this letter as confirmation that Grant County and Grant County Development
Services are committed to including the requirements of House Bill (HB) 1181, related to
climate planning, into its Comprehensive Plan during its major periodic update.
The Grant County Board of County Commissioners, authorize Grant County, Washington to
propose the attached scope of work and budget request for grant funding to prepare and adopt
amendments to implement the requirements of HB 1181 related to climate planning.
We understand that the GMA requires the county to adopt goals and policies related to climate
change. These goals and policies will be considered and adopted as part of our scheduled
periodic review update to our comprehensive plan.
