ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING CHAPTER 10.48 OF ORDINANCE No. 23- 4 -CC
THE GRANT COUNTY CODE ENTITLED "PRIMITIVE
ROAD DESIGNATION"
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Grant County Washington has determined that Primitive
Roads shall be codified, and the list reviewed at least once annual per RCW 36.75.300, and
WHEREAS, the Primitive Road Designation List has been reviewed by the County Engineer and Traffic Supervisor
for accuracy and correct signage, and
WHEREAS, Any citizen may write a letter of petition to have a Primitive Road reviewed using current and past
traffic counts in conjunction to determine trend, and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners duly advertised and conducted an Open Record Public Hearing
to consider this ordinance on July 18, 2023 at 3:15 p.m.
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners has determined that consideration should be given to
Establishing and Amending Title 10 Chapter 10.48 Primitive Road Designation.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY ORDAINED THAT the Grant County Board of Commissioners hereby order
Chapter 10.48 of Grant County Code be established, amending all previous resolutions as contained herein and
hereby order said Ordinance to be added to the existing Grant County Code under Title 10 ROADS, HIGHWAYS &
BRIDGES, of Grant County, Washington and amend the Grant County Code as follows:
Chapter 10.48- Primitive Road Designations: SECTIONS
10.48.010 — Definitions:
For the purpose of this chapter the words and terms used shall have the same meaning as each has under RCW Chapter
36.75.300.
10.48.020 Penalties: There are no penalties associated with Primitive Road Status.
10.48.030 Listed Primitive Roads : The current Primitive Road list is as follows:
