Memorandum of Understanding July 1, 2019- June 30, 2020 Between Moses Lake Healthy Youth Partnership 365 (HYP 365) And Boys and Girls Club of the Columbia Basin (BGCC) This Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) sets for the terms and understanding between the Moses Lake Healthy Youth Partnership 365 (HYP365) and the Boys and Girls Club of the Columbia Basin (BGCC) relevant to Positive Action. Positive Action is an evidence based "Excellence in Prevention" program designed to improve academic achievement; school attendance; and problem behaviors such as substance use, violence, suspensions, disruptive behaviors, dropping out, and sexual behaviors. It is also designed to improve parent-child bonding, family cohesion and family conflict. All materials are based on the same unifying broad concept "one feels good about oneself when taking positive actions". HYP365 agrees to: Purchase the following items: Bullying Prevention Kits $250 (x2) $ 500.00 Bullying Prevention Refresher Kits $75 (x2) $ 150.00 Drug Use Prevention Kits $250 (x2) $ 500.00 Drug Use Prevention Refresher Kit $75 (x2) $ 150.00 $1,300.00 HYP365 also agrees to contribute up to $75 toward print material to promote outreach event Continued support as needed throughout the fiscal year. Boys and Girls Club of the Columbia Basin agrees to: • Promote this enhanced partnership with Grant Integrated Services and Moses Lake Healthy Youth Partnership 365 across our various publicity platforms (i.e., website, social media, handouts) that serve to create community awareness with parents, families and other organizations. • Share effectiveness and advocate for the learnings of the program through two outreach open house events; one at the end of summer 2019 and one at the end of the school year 2020. • Administer Pre/Post-tests to all participants. • Provide HYP365 with pre/post tests and attendance • Report the positive outcomes as well as any hurdles in monthly attendance (10 out of the 12 months) at the HYP365 Community Coalition meetings, in written or oral reports including anecdotes from the implemented programming. Duration This MOU may be modified by mutual consent of authorized officials from Moses Lake Healthy Youth Partnership 365 and Boys and Girls Club of the Columbia Basin. This MOU shall become effective upon signature by the authorized officials from Moses Lake Healthy Youth Partnership 365 and Boys and Girls Club of the Columbia Basin and will remain in effect until modified or terminated by any one of the partners by mutual consent. In the absence of mutual agreement by the authorized officials from Moses Lake Healthy Youth Partnership 365 and Boys and Girls Club of the Columbia Basin. This MOU shall end on June 30, 2020. HYP may terminate this MOU upon 30 days' notice if, in its sole discretion the Boys and Girls Club of the Columbia Basin does not conform to the terms of this agreement. Upon termination for failure to perform the Boys' and Girls' Club of the Columbia basin shall return all items purchased under this agreement. Non Discrimination The parties agree to follow all relevant laws and will not discriminate in the services provided base on any class protected by law.
