Per the approved Capital budget for 20211 am requesting authorization to purchase a Steam
Pressure Washer. The approved Capital amount is $9,500. 1 have received pricing from (7)
Seven companies. First, our preferences are a pressure washer that puts out 4 gallons per
minute with a pressure of at least 3500 PSI. The unit must be portable, on wheels, gas engine
for versatility and a diesel burner for longevity and lower cost of operation. Second, we wanted
a unit that was UL -1776 certified which is a safety standard for pressure washers.
Only one unit met the qualifications stated above, see attached comparisons.
I request authorization to purchase the Hotsy 1075SE, at a price of $5570.04 plus shipping. In
addition, I would like to include a Cam Spray 30 inch surface cleaner at a price of $1245.41 plus
shipping. This would allow us to clean floors in the Pavilions and boardwalks.
Tptal cost of the unit and surface cleaner is $6815.45 including tax, minus shipping. Note: the
price of the Hotsy is based on a Federal contract which we can purchase through as a result of
the Covid Emergency Declaration. Grant County is listed as authorized to purchase under this
contract.
The cost of the unit does not include a battery so please authorize the purchase of a battery for
the unit with a cap of $200.
The funds are from current expense. The purchase would be made after January 1, 2021.
