Re: Consent to purchase Tractor with Loader, ripper and rototiller.
Per the approved Capital budget for 20211 am requesting authorization to purchase a Tractor,
with Loader, ripper and Rototiller. The approved Capital amount is $105,000. 1 first looked at
our purchasing guidelines and went through the Washington DES purchasing list. John Deere
currently has a contract through the Washington DES, Contract number 05218. We have an
MCUA for the state which allows us to purchase items under their contract. I requested a price,
based on the contract, John Deere provided a price of $78,481.86 not including shipping.
To validate the pricing I then requested a price from Rathbone. The price came in at
$95,152.95. Central Machinery Sales was also contacted for a price and came in at $88,377.76
1 request authorization to purchase the John Deere 5100E with the 540M Loader, RT2283
Totary Tiller, and SR1203, three shank ripper for a total price of $78,481.86 plus freight.
The funds are from current expense. The purchase would be made after January 1.
