The Lodging Tax Advisory Committee met on December 9, 2020 to review the grants submitted for the 2021 Lodging Tax Grant Program and provide. In accordance with RCW 67.28.1816 (2)(b)(ii), it is required that the municipality's legislative body, the BOCC, make the final determination. The municipality may choose only recipients from the list of candidates and recommended amounts provided by the local lodging tax advisory committee. Below is the award recommendation of the LTAC: Columbia Basin Allied Arts Promotion $ 5,000 Columbia Basin Rodeo Association Event $ 7,250 Coulee Corridor Consortium — Sin Capital $ 3,000 Coulee Corridor Consortium Promotion $ 1,750 Ephrata Chamber of Commerce Promotion $ 5,000 Mas uers Theater Promotion $ 5,000 Moses Lake Spring Festival — Freedom Festival Event $ 15,000 Moses Lake Spring Festival — Spring Fest Event $ 13,000 Ridge Riders Saddle Club — Colorama Rodeo Event $ 5,000 Sand Scorpions Event $ 5,000 Total Recommended Grant Distribution in 2021 $ 65,000 "To meet current and future needs, serving together with public and private entities, while fostering a respectful and successful work environment" Below is a break -down of the application numbers: • Total Applicants: 12 • Applicants Considered: 11 • Late Applicants (not processed): 1 o Desert Aire Owners Association • Applications not funded: 1 o Visit Washington — Moses Lake Air Show Please note that the LTAC, with budget guidance provided by the Tourism Commission, is requesting approval of the LTAC Grants totaling $ 65,000 for calendar year 2021. There are several entities that have additional funds available from the 2020 LTAC Grant extension approved by the BOCC in July 2020.
