SETTLEMENT AND RELEASE AGREEMENT
This Settlement and Release Agreement ("Agreement-) is entered into on or about this

3 day of em er, 2020, by the parties identified below.
PARTIES
The parties to this agreement are Grant County hereinafter "Grant County," and Phillip
and April Leitz, hereinafter "Leitz.'
ISSUE
A legal issue between the parties arose from a Grant County Deputy accidently causing
injury to one of the Leitz's dogs on August 27, 2020.
The parties acknowledge the respective claims and interests, and the legal positions, of
each other. The parties recognize the uncertainty, delay and vagaries inherent in the legal
process and desire to quickly resolve the legal issues related to the Property- between
themselves by entering into this Agreement.
SETTLEMENT AND RELEASE OF CLAIMS
The parties hereby stipulate and agree that in exchange for a payment from Grant County
of $1,296.30 the L.eitz's agree to release and forever discharge Grant County from all
legal claims available to or claimed by Lietz in relation to this incident.
Finallv. in order to settle the parties' respective claims concernijig the Property set forth
in Exhibit A only, the parties stipulate and agree the mutual release of claims set forth in
this agreement is done without any admission of liability concerning this incident by
either party.
