The agriculture building has had some costs that were higher than expected. Mainly regarding
the installation of the ductwork required to condition the building. The size of the ductwork
which is large for the size of building is what drove the price to a greater amount than we had
anticipated.
Central Services asked three companies to provide quotes on the ductwork. Total Energy
Management, McKinstry, and MetalKraft.
At the last minute MetalKraft declined and did not provide a price on paper, McKinstry was the
lowest at $37,990.00 with Total Energy Management at $45,960.00
With the Boards permission I will award the work to McKinstry and fund it through the 309
fairgrounds bond fund. I have made Madeline aware of the changes for the 2021 budget.
