Grant County enjoys an excellent relationship with Dude Solutions the makers of our
Computerized Maintenance Program (CMMS). We currently pay subscriptions on 8 separate
platforms. Some of these are shared across multiple departments and some are not.
Currently, Public Works pays for its own subscription to one of these platforms called "Work
Order". In this migration, Public works will move this platform under Central Services' license
and no longer need to pay that subscription (a little over $2,000.00 per year).
Over the past few years Dude Solutions has developed a new platform called "Asset Essentials"
that combines some of the 8 platforms mentioned above focusing on asset management from a
facilities standpoint and will combine more in the future negating our need to pay for different
platforms. It also provides greatly increased functionality and reporting abilities for the Facilities
department. Moving to this new platform helps the Facilities team a great deal and by including
Public Works under the same license, provides them access to the programs currently enjoyed by
the Courthouse facilities team that they did not previously have access to.
With your approval, Central Services will begin the transition to "Asset Essentials" (by Dude
Solutions) and work with Public Works to integrate their facilities maintenance programs and
ours. The cost for the next 13 months is $21,611.52 which is lower than our 2021 subscription
cost of $25,000.00 and funded through our software subscription budget. It will increase once all
is combined in 2022 by approximately $14,000. The Boards approval allow us to both move
forward with updating or current platforms while also combining the asset reporting,
maintenance management, and capital forecasting of almost all departments of the County under
one platform and license.
