MEMORANDUM FOR Grant County Commissioners
FROM: Grant County Lodging Tax Advisory Committee (LTAC)
SUBJECT: 2023 Lodging Tax Grant Disbursement Recommendation, Second Round
The Grant County Lodging Tax Advisory Committee (LTAC) met on Monday, May 22, 2023, in the
Commissioners Hearing Room at the Grant County Courthouse. The LTAC discussed many items
at this meeting (minutes provided), however, the culmination was the ,following
recommendation:
• Recommend allocating $100,000.00 to the LTAC to request through the public bidding
process a "Request for Proposal" to study the Grant County Tourism and develop a master
plan for tourism.
In accordance with RCW 67.28.1816 (2)(b)(ii), it is required that the municipality's legislative
body, the BOCC, make the final determination. The municipality may choose only recipients from
the list of candidates and recommended amounts provided by the local lodging tax advisory
committee.
The total amount recommended to be funded for the second round 2023 Tourism Grants is:
$100,000.00.
Additionally, once approved, a budget extension from the Lodging Tax Fund will be initiated to
adhere to all county requirements.
On behalf of the LTAC, please accept this recommendation for the 2023 LTAC Grant Funding.
