The Fairgrounds had budgeted $70,000 for stall improvements in Barn 46 and 47 for 2020.
Unfortunately, the cost of renovation is almost half the cost of new stalls and the existing stalls
are nearly 40 years old. But we need to continue our work on improving equestrian facilities.
Instead of stall renovation I would like to propose the installation of sidewall panels in the
Ardell Pavilion to hide the 26 -year-old insulation that can no longer be cleaned. It will brighten
up the building and give it a newer look making it more appealing for events.
Request for bids was sent to the MRSC roster and local construction contractors. Only one bid
came back for $37,080.14 from Stan's Construction.
I am requesting permission to move forward with the installation. The account from which the
funds would need to be transferred is 126.168.00.9112.594736210 and transferred to account
126.168.00.9116.594736210. All funds are REET funds.
