Vasquez, Clerk of the Board Damien Hooper, Development Services Director Tyler Lawrence, Assistant Director Public: See sign in sheet 11:00 a.m. The Commissioner held an Open Record Public Hearing to consider a Unified Development Code Amendment as proposed by Grant County Development Services for changes to allow government offices in various zones, revise the Performance and Use standards for Mini Storage developments in order to clarify ambiguous language and provide greater clarity for developers/owners, revises "minor modification" language for Wireless Communication Facilities to better facilitate tower upgrade projects, and revise language regarding size limitations for uses in the AG zone. File # P 20-0133 and P 20-0134. Tyler Lawrence, Assistant Director, discussed the project. He stated that the Planning Commission is forwarding the amendment for approval with one modification to #8 of their Findings of Fact. They wish to add additional language as follows: "Visual screening shall only apply when a residence is present within 100 feet of any property line, excluding road frontages, and excluding any residences owned or controlled by the mini storage operator and/or property owner." This language will only apply to the rural and rural activity center zones. A motion was made by Commissioner Stevens, seconded by Commissioner Taylor to close the public comment portion of the hearing. The motion passed unanimously. Commissioner Taylor moved to approve the recommendation of the Planning Commission and the amendment by the PC the UDC Amendment as presented. Commissioner Carter seconded and the motion passed unanimously. The hearing adjourned.
