GCTS:
—I have been able to reduce the cost of the WebEx as far as I can. We have excluded all unnecessary
rooms. We are also looking to supplement the costs through funds in existing budgets (Mainly Facilities
and GCTS) to try and facilitate this happening for both the Courts and for GrIS.
—I would like to address the reality that our web site is old and dated, it will continue to have issues like
the webform issue that caused a disruption of complaint forms regarding code compliance. We have a
relationship with municode and I would like to explore getting our website updated.

Kevin on Vacation this week
—I have been able to take the cost of the doors out of consideration for Cares act funding. Further
reducing the burden on remaining Cares act funds. Again, we are utilizing funds in other budgets to
realize this project. The Auditor is utilizing a HAVA grant and paying for 86K of this cost and is why we
really need to consider going forward as that is a the heavy lifting that provided much of the software
and a good amount of hardware required for the system to implemented.
I would like to reiterate that some of the reason for the costs being high is the increases in prevailing
wage that translates into labor rates we see as a public agency.

Demo on the interactive kiosk is set for the 1 Och at 1 Oam, I'll send all of you an invitation to attend but
certainly not required.
GCFG
—I am contacting the Department of Commerce today to see if we can now execute a contract and
order the lighting project. I believe I have satisfied all of the various requirements and should be able to
move forward.
Getting power to the ag building to add HVAC is going to be a spendy proposition. The PUD has
finally determined where and how we can access 3 phase power and we need to trench down the
west side of the exposition halls from the south end of the 4H building. Appx, 550' We have an estimate
of about 41 K to perform all of the work required to get power to the building. I have the money in a
Monthly Update
fund to do this as well as the HVAC but it is significantly more than I anticipated. I will be sending a
request for approval to the board next week with the total amounts and budgeted I would be using for
approval. I don't think we will be able to do another exposition hall in this manner going forward due to
the new energy code. It will be cost prohibitive.
CSD
Jail update, we are in a waiting mode as the Architect is putting together data on the sites. As soon as
I have something, I will share it. A trip is planned to Asotin County the 2nd or 3rd week of September
and they plan to also drive over here and visit with a few of us.
-I have a leave slip for three days this week as I need to do some work at home preparing for a
contractor to do some work.

fairgrounds property
The Department of Commerce should have a contract to the County this week for the lighting project at
the fairgrounds.
