Re: Request to Award Contract For uperior Courts 1 & 2Ceiling Grid Replacement
RFB FM2004
Facilities and Maintenance sent out a RFB using MRSC Rosters for project FM2004 to replace
the ceiling grids in the Superior Court Rooms 1 and 2. This is part of the updates for the court
rooms to accommodate the new video and audio systems being installed in these courts rooms in
response to COVID 19.
One responsive bid was submitted by Stan's Construction for the 52,675.28, without tax. The
total with tax is $57,100.00
The estimated ceiling grid replacement capital for the Youth Services Facility in Ephrata on Abel Road is
$56, 100, account code 126.168.00.9112.594736210, and I am proposing that Grant County apply those
funds to this project instead. The ceiling grid replacement project at Youth Services in Ephrata would be
deferred to another time yet to be determined.
The remaining balance not covered, $1000.00, would be paid from the Grant County Facilities
and Maintenance account 001.112.00.0000.518304800 Repairs.
It is my opinion that Grant County should accept the bid from Stan's Construction. Therefore, I
am recommending to the Board and I am asking for your approval to award this contract to
Stan's Construction and son LLC, UBI 603-566-918, for the total amount with taxes, of $57,100.
The costs will be paid out of the funds listed on this request.
