TRANSFERING JURISDICTION and
OWNERSHIP of the Surplus rights-of-way
along Q NW roadlog 31101 BMP 0.0 to EMP
0.25, in Section 32 of T19N R24EWM
WHEREAS, in accordance with RCW 39.33.010; Grant County, a political subdivision of the State
of Washington, acting through its Board of County Commissioners, recognizes the benefits of transferring
ownership of portions of county roads and right-of-ways, namely that portion of surplus rights east of Q NW,
as described below and as shown in Exhibit A:
LEGAL DESCRIPTION: Q NW roadlog 31101 BMP 0.0 at SR 281 southerly to EMP 0.25 at the
previously vacated Q NW excluding Q NW Right-of-way of 30 feet from centerline; Sections 32
T19N R24EWM All in Grant County, Washington,
WHEREAS, Grant County Public Works and the Grant County Public Utility District No. 2 (PUD)
have previously agreed to work towards the transfer of ownership and jurisdiction of said Right -of -Way, and
WHEREAS, this Transfer of Ownership is along the edge of existing PUD property, and
WHEREAS, the County Engineer recommends the Grant County Board of Commissioners proceed
with the transfer of ownership as mutually agreed, per 39.33.010.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED THAT the Grant County Board of
Commissioners, TRANSFER all interest in the County rights-of-way as described above; along with any
existing authority and jurisdiction to accommodate existing power lines, communications lines and other
franchised and/or permitted public and private utilities.
