HomeMy WebLinkAboutAgreements/Contracts - GRISMEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING Payment of Promised Bench Pay This Memorandum of Understanding is entered into by and between Teamsters Local No. 760, representing the recognized employees of the Administrative Unit and Clinical Unit, hereinafter referred to as the "Union", and Grant County, Washington, hereinafter referred to as the "Employer". Darray Becker Smoger is a Designated Crisis Responder working at Grant Integrated Services. The Employee was mistakenly "promised" bench pay in addition to holiday pay for covering an unfilled shift. Through this document the parties agree that: 1. Grant County will pay the additional bench pay in the amount of $240.00 based on the promise made to Darray Becker Smoger. 2. This action will not be viewed as a change in process or past practice, a violation of the CBA or an error in payroll. This is a one-time action to address a perceived inequity and make the employee whole. 3. Grant County will address the appropriate handling of the situation with appropriate Supervisors and Managers of the department to ensure the situation is not repeated. 4. Grant County will review our current processes for holiday pay in these special circumstances and communicate that to the departments so that there is a clear understanding.
