awaiting to go to the Institution, and 1 for new charges — Local Sanctions)

Intakes as of today. Even though we only have 3 intakes as oftoday, one of our Intakes have
been with us since June 28, 2020, he is currently awaiting to go to the Institution.

3) Courts: COVID-19 Operation
i. OFFENDER/DIVERSION: Procedure is still the same. We are still hearing all civil and criminal
matters via WebEx and in person court hearing for Dispositions downtown in Superior
Court. Diversion hearings are being held telephonically.
ii. TRUANCY: The majority of the schools are doing online learning for the first semester. At
this point we will be dismissing all of the truancy petition from last year (28 remaining cases
from last school year).
iii. DEPENDENCY: The dependency unit is also doing regular dockets hearings via WebEx and
in person hearings downtown in Superior Court.
Martin Hall: No issues with transportation or communication.
Administration:
o Juvenile Department started doing furloughs on July 6, 2020. Our offices remain
open Monday through friday 8am to 5pm.
o Martin Hall Board Meeting will be held on Thursday August 27th, 2020 via Zoom.
I will be attending that meeting.
o Working from home request due to employee caring for daughters doing online
school only.
Needs of the Department
o Technology Services continues to work on getting us our own the Biamp
system in our courtroom.
