Attached is a picture of a similar cart although in a different size. They no longer make the size shown in the catalog. The new specifications for the carts we require are: 55"high x 56"long x 26"deep. The cost is $4,500. per unit (2 units = $9,000) Shipping will be $1,370, and tax approx. $871.08 Each unit comes with 96 slots to be used for ballots batches. We currently use boxes that are 15" tall x 17"deep x 11" wide. With limited storage space we must move the boxes/batches around multiple times in order to process them. Presently "Auditing" requires handling as many as 13 full boxes with approximately 2,000 ballots in each box. The audit is done by random, picking batches that are within those 13 boxes. We have to find the correct box, open it and pull out all the ballots, all requiring us to retouch them. With new carts we would only need to open them once, and only touch the batches required for the audit. The same would go for any recounts. All of this results in less touching of ballots and boxes. This greatly reduces our exposure to contamination of all sorts and a vastly more streamlined process.
