PROC AMATION
WHEREAS, the children of Grant County are a most vulnerable and
important part of our community and our society; and
WHEREAS, the Grant County Sheriff's Office and other participating
emergency service agencies desire to have a positive impact on the lives of
children in Grant County; and
WHEREAS, the Grant County Sheriff's Office and other participating
emergency service agencies are interested in honoring the lives of children in
Grant County facing serious health challenges; and
WHEREAS, the Grant County Sheriff's Office and other participating
emergency service agencies see this as an opportunity and the chance to celebrate
the lives of these children; and
WHEREAS, in celebration, the children will receive uniforms and
badges in a ceremony sponsored by fire and law enforcement agencies; and
WHEREAS, the celebration will include special tours and activities
around the courthouse, including riding posse -led horses;
NOW THEREFORE,. the Board of County Commissioners of Grant
County does hereby proclaim Thursday, June 8th, 2023
CHIEF FOR A DAY
In Grant County, in honor and recognition of the children, and urge employees
and citizens of Grant County to join in this observation.
