Out of county travel request
Good afternoon,
Please consider this request for exception to the temporary out of county/state
training restriction implemented by GC BOCC. Deputy Mark Pannek is a member
of the Moses Lake Regional Tactical Response Team (TRT) or commonly known as
SWAT team. He was recently promoted the position of assistant team leader. The
TRT Commander has requested his presence at this training event scheduled to take
place in September 2020.
This training will focus/emulate a recent open area tracking "man hunt" which
took place near Blewett Pass earlier this year where TRT participated in the
search. The murder suspect was eventually located by a citizen and safely taken
into custody. This training will take place in open air, with teammates that Deputy
Pannek is typically around anyways.
