Re: Award of Contract to ELTEC Systems, LLC for elevator Service
Facilities and Maintenance received notice that the contract to service the five elevators on the C
Street campus in Ephrata was going to expire. After reviewing and talking with a representative
from Department of Enterprise Services, a state agency who negotiates contracts for a "one stop
shop" for basic services, it seems prudent to use the DES contract for service of the County
elevators.
The Department of Enterprise Services has a current contract, 01219, and the preferred supplier
for North Central Washington is ELTEC Systems LLC. There is a cost advantage to the county
of reduced hourly rates and contract price. The previous contract monthly cost was $1415, versus
$1310 for the current DES contract.
It is my opinion and I am requesting the Grant County Board of Commissioners to award the
contract to ELTEC systems for a term of three years, to expire July 1 of 2023. The costs will go
to the Facilities and Maintenance Operating Budget for contract services.
