Re. Recommendation to allocate $249,848.87 of Coronavirus Relief Funds (CRF)
grant monies to upgrade doors throughout all grant county facilities
The Central Services Department has spoken with Convergint Technologies for pricing
on upgrades to facility doors throughout Grant County. These upgrades will allow for
keyless entry on 45 doors throughout the County facilities, see the attached spreadsheet
for specific doors to be upgraded.
The total cost of this project is $525,100.00. In speaking with Michele Jaderlund, the
Auditors Office is going to contribute $86,476.42 of HAVA grant funding and will cover
all software costs and 10 doors. The remaining cost is $249,848.97 and include upgrades
to 35 doors.
In the budget allocation approved on June 30, 2020, we left a reserve of funds in the
amount of $430,700.00. These funds have not been allocated at this time and would have
sufficient funds available to cover this request.
Therefore, it is my recommendation to approve this request.
