Re: Recommendation to contract with the Grant County Economic Development
Council for Coronavirus Relief Funds (CRF) through CARES Act Grant
A committee of Grant County officials met to discuss the budget allocation and
administration process of small business & non-profit organization grants through the
Coronavirus Relief Fund (CRF) CARES Act Grant.
It is the opinion of the committee that the Grant County Economic Development Council
(EDC) is highly qualified and capable of taking on these duties as they currently
administer the Strategic Infrastructure Program (SIP) grants through the County.
We are recommending to contract with the EDC for the administration of the combined
$2.5 million dollars allocated towards Small Business & Non -Profit Organization grants
through the CRF CARES Act Grant. The EDC will track time & wages related to the
administration of these grants and will be reimbursed for actual costs incurred.
