Re: Request to Award Contract For RFB FM2002 Carpet Replacement Law and Justice
Building
Facilities and Maintenance sent out a RFB for project FM2002 to replace the carpet on the
second floor of the Law and Justice building in spaces where needed.
Of the solicitations sent to eligible MRSC contractors, two bids were submitted and the lowest
responsive bidder was Cost Less Carpet Inc. from Moses Lake with a low bid of $47,618.79 with
tax.
We propose using the approved funds;
$45,500 from 126.168.00.9112.594186211 Carpet for Law and Justice Building
$2,118.79 be transferred from REET funds 126.168.00.9112.594736210 Cooling Tower LJB to
126.168.00.9112.594186211 Carpet for LJB. The 126.168.00.9112.594736210 Cooling Tower
LJB account has savings that will support the transfer of funds.
It is my opinion that Grant County should accept the bid from Cost Less Carpet Inc. Therefore, I
am recommending to the Board and I am asking for your approval to award this contract to Cost
Less Carpet Inc, for the amount of $47,618.79. The costs will be paid out of the funds listed on
this request.
Sincerely,
