RESOLUTION TO RESCIND RESOLUTION RESOLUTION No. 20- CACC
NOS. 20 -020 -CC AND 20 -015 -CC AND
APPOINTING KEITH ELEFSON AS THE
COUNTY ENGINEER
WHEREAS, Resolution No. 20 -020 -CC provided for an interim Grant County Public Works
Director and full time employee to perform the day-to-day supervisor responsibilities of the County
Engineering Duties not requiring a licensed professional engineer, and
WHEREAS, the County Public Works Director position in Grant County has been filled as of
May 04, 2020, and
WHEREAS, RCW 36.80.010 allows a county to contract with another county for the engineering
services of a county road engineer from another county, and
WHEREAS, Resolution No. 20 -15 -CC designated a licensed professional civil engineer to
perform all professional civil engineering functions requiring a licensed engineer as required by chapter
18.43 RCW, and
WHEREAS, Resolution No. 20 -015 -CC provided for an interim Grant County Engineer, and
WHEREAS, the County Engineer position in Grant County will be filled May 11, 2020.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Board of County Commissioners
rescinds Resolution Nos. 20 -015 -CC and 20 -020 -CC as of May 11, 2020, and appoints Keith Elefson as
the Grant County Engineer.
