Re: Request contract with JDB enterprises for Ice vending machine
As we grow our campground usage it would be good to think of the types of amenities that the
Fairgrounds provides to campers. One amenity that we can provide at no -cost to the
Fairgrounds, is Ice. JDB Enterprises would like to enter into a contract with the Fairgrounds to
install an ice vending machine similar to the one shown in the attachment. The machine vends
ice with payment by credit card.
We would not have any responsibilities for the machine at all but we would receive a
commission of 50 cents per bag.
This will allow campers to get ice on-site.
The contract length is five years. Kevin McRae reviewed the proposal and said there would be
no conflict of interest.
To make the process Fair a legal notice was published in the county paper of record for two
days, asking for proposals to be submitted by Friday, 4/3/2020. None were received except the
one from JDB Enterprises.
This proposal is no different than all of the other vendor contracts we sign for the Fairgrounds.
The same process was used for this proposal as with our food booths, etc.
