Re: Email dated March 30, 2020 regarding holding Capital Outlay Expenditures
Dear Honorable Board of County Commissioners,
I am requesting the ability to move forward with the capital outlay item that was approved for my
office for the purchase of the Data Cloud Solution field module $58,680 for the software, $16,625 for
first year annual maintenance and $9,006.94 for Wad tablets (to include case and wireless plan). The
County has the money already in an account, Fund 139, the REET Admin fund; that is earmarked for
the use of the Assessor in annual assessments. This is money that can only be used for this purpose
and has already been received and sitting in an account just for this purpose. Also, I had a carry over
each year since 2018 that was approved just for this purpose of $24,000 from this account.
This purchase allows this office efficiencies to be able to handle the current and future workload. We
had to give a verbal agreement to get the contract portion started which we are in the middle of doing
now. I respectfully ask the Board to allow me to continue.
