Per the approved 2020 Capital budget for canopies I would like to move forward with the
purchase of two canopies. This is a unique purchase in that only one vendor supplies the type
of canopy that I would like to purchase and that the Fairgrounds has purchased in the past. That
vendor is KD Canopy which is on our vendor list.
The quote is attached. The budget for this purchase out of REET funds is $10,000. The price
includes freight and we will pay tax out of the remaining amount. Purchasing policy allows the
purchase of an item based on a single supplier when the item is unique and only available from
one vendor.
KD Canopy (On Vendor list) $8538.32 Includes delivery
Tax on the product would be $700.14 bringing the total purchase to $9238.46.
This purchase will allow us to use these canopies for Fair and to rent for events.
