Per the approved 2020 Capital budget for horse stalls there was $86,000 of REET funds
allocated for new horse stalls. A notice of bid requests was published for five days in the
newspaper of record and requests for bids sent out to horse product providers that we have
contacted in the past.
Only one bid was received per the posting. Tom Gaines and I opened the bids, per the
instructions, at 3:30 p.m. on 3/26/2020.
Pearson Farm and Fence $101,232.04 Includes tax, turnkey.
This is $15,232.04 over our budgeted amount. For that reason we are rejecting all bids and will
re-evaluate our plan. Once a plan is known we will present our direction to the BOCC for
approval.
I recommend rejection of the one received bid.
