Effective 03/24/20 the Board of County Commissioners has directed me to institute a full hiring
freeze. This will impact all departments and all current, active postings.
The impacts of the COVID-19 public health crisis are growing and still unknown. The Board is
understandably concerned with the impacts to the budget as we continue through 2020.
I will send out revised materials for requesting exceptions to the hiring freeze. Until then please
email me if you have a situation that requires immediate action.
