RE: Grant County PSA Regarding Coronavirus (COVID-19)
Grant County is responding vigorously to the COVIDI9 epidemic and is taking all necessary
precautions. Some of our offices may be limiting access to the public and we are highly
encouraging alternate means of communication and service including phone, email, mail and the
use of our County website. We ask that if your need is of an urgent nature and you do need to
visit our offices, please follow CDC guidelines.
Both Superior Court and District Court has suspended all jury trials until May 1St, 2020, subject
to change. For information regarding specific office closures, please visit our website or call 509-
754-2011.
The COVID-19 epidemic is an important and serious matter, but it is also important to keep a
calm and clear perspective. Almost everyone who catches the virus will recover. As always, the
best thing people can do to protect their health is to use best practices such as hand washing,
covering coughs and sneezes, staying home when sick, and getting vaccinated against the flu.
We urge the public, the media and community leaders to rely on credible sources of information
such as local health departments, the Washington State Department of Health, the Centers for
Disease Control and Prevention, local healthcare organizations including Confluence
Health, Columbia Valley Community Health, and Seattle Children's, and major university
medical centers like the University of Washington.
Sincerely,
BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
