Dustin Canfield Chef Deputy I am requesting a budget extension in the amount of $100 000 for the purchase of a , Special Operations mobile command vehicle. The purchase of this vehicle will be done through two Office 509-754-2011 grants. The first grant was approved in fiscal year 2017, however the monies were ext. 2021 never carried over to our current budget. It is referred to as the Homeland Security Grant Program (HSGP). The contract numbers are E18-160 for the FY2017 for $64,780 and E19-110 for FY2018 in the amount of $35,220. The county revenue code is 333970400. The Sheriff s Office has received authority from Washington State EMD grants division to purchase the mobile command vehicle. The mobile command vehicle will be utilized for on scene monitoring of county wide emergencies and or disasters. The mobile command vehicle will also be available to other law enforcement agencies that may need. it for a crime scenes or other deployments. This gives us the opportunity to reach out to all of our county partners, and make sure the Grant County Sheriff s Office EMD is being utilized county wide. Our intent is to purchase this vehicle from Arlington County Virginia Police Department. The Grant County Sheriff s Office EMD will make the purchase once approved by the BOCC.
