Per the approved 2020 Capital budget four vendors provided pricing. None of the vendors are
on any roster so prices were solicited individually.
The approved capital budget for a leaf vacuum is $3500.
The selected purchase is based on price and features.
Cyclone Rake Z-10, 10 HP, 55 cubic feet - $3675.61 delivered
PECO X30, 6.5 HP, 30 cubic foot $2,264.68 delivered
DR Pro XL321, 398cc, 43 cubic feet $2,811.84 delivered
I request authorization to purchase the Cyclone Rake Z-30 based on its motor size, storage
size and finally price. It also has the best reviews and appears to be the most durable of
available leaf vacuums. The extra $175.61 would tome from the surplus left through the
purchase of table carts utilizing the same budget number.
